Woody's Express Parcels is an established Scottish haulage and courier company founded in 1986, working in the Transport Logistics sector across the Highlands and Islands, nationally, and internationally, with permanent depots in Stornoway, Inverness, and in Bothwell. Through a network of Subcontractors, the company can provide transportation of goods worldwide. This includes smaller items like packages and boxes, right up to larger items such as household furniture and palletised goods.
Woody's Express Parcels has three dedicated depots - one in Stornoway, which is the main service centre for the Outer Hebrides, one in Inverness, the capital of the Highlands of Scotland, and one in Bothwell near Glasgow, at the heart of Scotland's central belt. The Inverness depot was purposely built in 2003 with 19,000 square feet of warehousing to service the growing requirements of the company and its customers. It has substantial modern warehousing and a large yard area as well as changing facilities for drivers including showers. The head office at the Stornoway depot, services the administration of the company, and is its main delivery hub. It is from here that scheduled daily deliveries are made throughout the Outer Hebrides.
Woody's Express Parcels offers a range of delivery options from next day to 5 days, all with competitive prices. The company has an extensive fleet of lorries and vans that travel daily across the region. The company currently employs 45 people including professional van drivers, lorry drivers, warehouse/sorting staff, night shift personnel, and administration/office personnel.

Woody's Express Parcels currently has a comprehensive fleet from 1.5 to 44 tonnes gross across the company's three sites for efficient and safe transportation of goods.
In recent years the company has invested a lot in IT infrastructure, with the development of a dedicated Web Portal for business customers and also a fully comprehensive internal system including tracking facilities for full transparency of goods across the network. There are 38 mobile devices/handheld computers for the drivers to use out on the road to capture signatures and record data, 6 operational dedicated warehousing scanners, and 12 workstations across the three depots for the administration staff. A new consumer website is planned for 2017 to give personal customers flexibility and traceability over their shipments from start to finish.
