19 December 2017 - Christmas Opening Hours

We will be open normal hours until Saturday 23rd December which we will close at noon. We will reopen on the 27th with normal hours until Saturday 30th which we will also close at noon.

Normal opening times will resume in the new year starting on January 3rd.

Woody's Express Parcels today launched its new beta website for the public. The new website gives customers complete shipment facilities; from obtaining a quotation to shipping a consignment, or arranging a drop off at one of our depots.

Customers can now use the online facilities to create, barcode and label shipments with ease. This gives the customer full visibility and traceability over their shipments using our current tracking facilities. Customers can also view their shipment history and see any despatches made previously by logging into their account.

The website has also been modernised with a screen responsive design for portability. The layout and colour schemes have also been brought up to date with the company's current artwork.

This is a currently a beta test in an effort to smooth out any problems with the new booking system and also monitor our users behaviours to improve the system.

Woody's Express Parcels has recently celebrated 30 years of serving customers in the Western Isles and much, much further afield! To coincide with the landmark birthday, the firm - which has depots in Stornoway, Inverness, and Glasgow - has launched a new enhanced small parcels service with competitive tariffs. A new web portal for business customers gives them full transparency over their collection and deliveries.

In 2017, Woody's will be expanding the service to the public with the introduction of a new website. Customers will be able to book both collections and deliveries online and trace both outgoing and incoming consignments. The service, which is already in use for commercial customers, is one which local businesses use frequently.

And with a new depot launched in Glasgow in 2015, Woody's can offer customers an alternative to high-price delivery charges elsewhere. Often nowadays the big companies will not deliver as far north as Inverness, but by having depots in Glasgow, Inverness and Stornoway Woody's can deliver quickly, and without massive surcharges.
